John East J-Retro. Chrome Plate.
John East onboard pre for Jazz Bass mounted on a control plate. Drop-in, 3-band EQ with sweepable mid, brightness, passive bypass. Wired this to a battery box so no battery clip. ( I have a couple around here somewhere I can attach if you need one.) Works great with no issues.
I have recently re-discovered passive basses again and after 20 years of active basses, I'm heading back. With that being said, I have owned just about all of the active preamps you can put in a J-bass, (EMG, Bartolini, Aguilar, Audere,) and IMO this is the BEST.
Installed in a body right now. Has some tiny surface scratches on the unit that I tried to show but nothing too bad. ( there are tiny hairs in the pics as well.) Unit works perfect.
$200 shipped in the lower 48. Paypal OK.
