This JohnK’s clone of the almighty Rusty Box.
Sounds exaaaactly like real thing. Ive owned both and was able to do a side-by-side comparison. ZERO differences.
Now, a little back story:
I owned this for a bit, cherished it, used it with immense care, but needed money so I sold it, and the buyer claimed I sent a defective product and returned it. Since receiving it back from the buyer, it has a harshness to it as you increase the gain that should not be there.
I sent it to John Kallas to get it repaired, paid a fee and shipping, and got it back. It worked for a bit and eventually had the same issue again.
Now according to JK, it was an IC issue. I actually bought replacement IC’s for it but never got around to doing it myself.
Anyway, between the price I paid and all the other crap, I’ve got over $300 put into this thing, but will accept a loss and let it go for dirt cheap.
Note: this has side jacks.
