90's Ken Lawrence Associate 5-string. She's a player, but for all the right reasons. 35" scale, maple neck with Koa binding, ash body with Koa top and Koa cavity covers. Duncan PUs and Bart 3-band preamp (9-volt). When I got the bass the volute had a small amount of seem separation, which has been stabilized and shows no signs of moving. Plays like butta, sounds like a jazz bass on speed. Super thin neck makes it crazy easy to play. weighs in at 9.5 lbs on the fishing scale. (I bet with plastic knobs and Hipshot ultra-lite tuners this would drop below 9 lbs) Spacing is currently around 18mm, but it's got enough adjustment you could probably take it out to 19mm. I love the tone, I just can't warm up to the 35" scale. Comes with a form fit zero-g style case.
