Details

New York made Epiphone - top of the line model B5 bass.
Serial # 1486 - made before the big strike when the company moved to Philadelphia. Epi's brother Frixo was in charge of the bass division.
Nicely aged blonde with engraved tuners and inlaid purfling.
Hand carved scroll with the characteristic extra turn in the ear.
Rosewood fingerboard. Maple tailpiece with Epi logo.
Original tailpin with extension piece. Edges are sealed where chipped. Old heel repairs stable for the 6 years I've had it. Such a lovely bass becoming hard to find.
Guitar in pics is a 1947 Epi Zephyr Deluxe with electrics removed (N/A).

42" scale length.
