Details

If you're looking for an affordable, lightweight, easy to play, great sounding PJ5, this is it. And gorgeous to boot.

This is actually one of the Michael Anthony (of Van Halen fame) signature models, but I've ever seen him playing a 5-string. He does play a 4-string custom shop with a Koa top.

It's in excellent shape, with just a ding by the pickups (shown in pictures) that I have no idea how it happened. It is possible that it came like that, I only noticed it a couple of weeks after I got it. Weight is 8.35lbs, super light for a PJ5.

Highlights are: swamp ash body, koa top, maple/walnut neck, rosewood board, 35 inch scale, passive. Here are all the details:
Michael Anthony MA-5 Bass

Price is $1100 OBO shipped CONUS PayPal or Venmo F&F. Let me know if you have any questions. I can provide sound clips if you send me a PM.

As for trades, the only thing I'm after is a Modern Vintage MVP (P-Bass). But try me!

On to the pictures!

Would you happen to know the string spacing at the bridge? That’s the most important spec for me and for some reason most companies leave it out. I would think it’s a very important detail but maybe it’s just me?

Thanks for the question! You are right, I couldn't find an official number anywhere. I noticed this weekend it was narrower than my Laklands, and searched all over, couldn't find it. So I pulled my pachymeter and got 68mm between the middle of the B and the G strings at the bridge. So, roughly 17mm spacing?
