Details

Loaded body from a Kramer Pioneer Double J. These have the vintage 4 lead Schaller double J pickups that are getting hard to find and are desirable for their versatility. Speaking of versatility, this bass was professionally rewired by @rojo412. Each pickup has its own 3 way switch and can be run in series, P, or parallel. Then, the knobs are vol/vol/tone, with the tone knob being push/pull to run the set of pickups in either series or parallel. That makes for 18 different pickup combinations. It is wearing a Gotoh bridge. The body does show some age of dings and dents, but still looks good. I can send some more detailed pictures if desired. (I'll probably add some more pictures to the listing soon) The neck pocket fits a standard Fender neck heel as it has been played with a Mighty Mite Jazz neck for the past while.

If it hangs around long enough, I may be willing to part it out but for now I'm looking to trade for a loaded Precision bass body.

This bass makes so many different sounds, it's incredible.
Also wanted to mention that the cavities have been fully shielded in nickel paint:

Its a comfortable 9.5lbs with the Mighty Mite neck on it (which is still on it and the bass is for sale as a whole as well). It balances well. I'll actually have to take the neck off to weigh them independently which I'm willing to do if you're interested!

The sunburst is original. It had more of a gloss finish when I got it but the gloss was in bad shape so I refinished just the clear coat in a satin finish.

Are there any good vids of those pickups being played in their various positions? Or at least the really common positions -- full series hb in the middle (ala P), both single (jazz style), bridge full series hb (mm)? I couldn't find any. Any chance you could make one? :-)
