These are the narrower leather pieces that attach to the wider "shoulder" section of leather straps. I have one in Dark Brown and one in Black.
They are brand new, and make your leather strap adjustable from 45" - 54". I'm a big guy (250 lbs.), so I always purchase the strap extender that allows the strap to go up to 60". But these come stock because they're sized for "normal" people rather than an ogre like me.
So if the lower section of your leather strap is getting old and loose (where it goes over the strap button), these would be perfect for some peace of mind (that it won't slip off). Even with new ones, I still use the neoprene washers for "strap locks", but of course that's up to you.
