For sale is a Combe Alys 5. Matthieu Combe is a French Luther, making basses since 2006. This bass was built in 2017, and was at his Namm booth in 2018. This is a beautiful instrument with standard specs, 34" length, 19mm string spacing at the bridge, 24 frets. Weight is 9.6 pounds. The electronics are aguilar pickups, and nordstrand 3b preamp, with active/passive switch, and 2 way mid frequency select. 18V system, fully shielded cavity. Body wood is mahogany, 3 piece maple neck, and rosewood board. I believe the top is walnut, but not exactly sure. If anyone knows better by looking at it please let me know. Either way, a beautiful instrument, plays great, very comfortable and natural sounding. Headstock is laminated, front and back with the same wood, really great looking bass. Everything works as it should, and sounds spectacular. Satin finish on the whole instrument. There are a few dings which I captured in the photos.
