Status Graphite S2:
  • 4-String, 32” scale graphite bolt-on neck, 16.5mm spacing
  • Black phenolic fingerboard
  • Headless, with bendwell (uses 34" strings)
  • Book-matched, figured Indian rosewood top, European walnut body
  • Tri-color (R,G,B) LEDs
  • Paramatrix EQ (see details below)
  • Original Hiscox case, with keys
  • Original strap locks, allen wrenches and screws for clamping regular strings
  • 9.8 lbs on bathroom scale
  • Neck width at nut 1.7", at 12th fret 2.0", at 24th fret 2.18"
  • Purchased in 2016, has not left my house, minimal playing time.
  • Condition is MINT.
Status website description of the Paramatrix EQ:

The EQ includes both treble and bass controls plus dual parametric circuits,
all working independently to allow a vast range of tones.
Bass control = +/- 12dB shelved from 100Hz
Treble control = +/-14dB shelved from 10KHz
Each parametric circuit operates around a different range of frequencies :
Low = +/- 10dB variable between 85Hz and 850Hz
High = +/- 12dB variable between 1.5KHz and 15KHz
Each Status Tri-Max pickup uses a unique coil system and three position switch to select either side of the pickup individually or both at the same time.
All positions are fully hum-cancelling and, when combined together, allow 9 different options which can be blended together via the pickup balance pot.

Wow, that's just friggin wicked...I have an older S2 headed Graphite and really really love it. This is like my Status on steroids-

Thank you for pointing that out! Based on their current price list and exchange rates, it would be over $5,200 delivered, plus any import duties. This one is in "MINT" condition.

Not only are they not taking orders anymore, they're currently not producing any graphite-necked basses (only wooden necked basses).

Since these are active controls, "all working independently", they are additive:
- Bass knob cuts/boosts all frequencies 100Hz and below (i.e. shelved from 100Hz).
- Treble knob cuts/boosts all frequencies 10KHz up (i.e. shelved from 10KHz).
- Low Parametric Frequency selects the frequency between 85Hz and 850Hz that will be boosted or cut by the Low Parametric Cut/Boost knob (+/- 10dB).
- High Parametric Frequency selects the frequency between 1.5KHz and 15KHz that is boosted or cut by the High Parametric Cut/Boost knob (+/- 12dB).

All of the cut/boost knobs (i.e. Bass, Treble, Low Parametric, High Parametric) have center detents, so you can feel the "flat" position notch when you turn the knob. You can easily set everything "flat".

Treble and Bass knobs work as usual.

If you want more control, you can use either the Low Parametric or High Parametric to select a frequency to cut or boost.

If you overlap the effects of the Bass and Low Parametric Cut/Boost, or the Treble and High Parametric Cut/Boost, then the effects are additive. What you will hear is the net result of any overlapping cut/boost.

You can easily keep it simple, or you can leverage the controls to fine tune your sound.

This bass has tormented me for sooo long. Can't believe how long it was up. Someone is going to be so stoked. Just came back to check again. Thought maybe an early Christmas present! Happy Holidays everyone.
