For sale only is an amazing Modulus Genesis 5 string bass in electric candy blue.

$1300 shipped. No trades.

For sale is an amazing Modulus Genesis 5 string bass in electric candy blue. This bass was made in 1998 but is in excellent condition! It plays like a pure champ and has been set up professionally.

Scale: 35"
Strings Spacing: 19 mm at the bridge
Weight: Approx 10lbs
Fingerboard: Chechen
Pickups: Bartolini single coil (passive)
Preamp: Bartolini 3-band 18v
Controls: push/pull volume for active/passive selection, blend, mids, 3-way mids frequency selector, treble/bass stack.

The neck is mostly comprised of carbon fiber which means that it is incredibly stable and virtually impervious to changes in weather and humidity. The frets are in excellent condition showing minimal wear, if any. The bass ships in the original Modulus logo hardshell case. This bass is a true gem and was a bass I dreamed of for many years. I'm only selling it because I've realized that I'm just not into jazz basses as much as I thought I would be. You will not regret this bass!

I have one of these days and it has been my main electric gigging bass for the last 20 years. Sometimes something steps in for a change of pace. Recently I have been bored and just wanting something just new and different and have bought and sold a few 5 strings and some are still listed, but keep coming back to the Genesis. Whoever gets this will likely be very happy and have a professional bass for a great price. GLWTS.

Funny. I had mine refinished in the exact same color. I believe it was a 2001, and I put an Audere preamp in it. It served me well for several years but I traded it to a dealer in Raleigh a few years ago. Excellent bass!

MINE CAME WITH THE 18 VOLT ACTIVE BART PRE. IT HAS SINGLE COIL BARTS SO IN SOME PLACES WAS NOISEY. i TOOK THE PRE OUT AND MADE IT A PASSIVE ONLY BASS WITH THE SINGLE COIL BARTS AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!!!!! IT DIDNT NEED ALL THAT BS TO SOUND GOOD. JUST A WONDERFUL SOUNDING BASS WITH A MONSTER LOW B!!!!!!! NOW SUPER QUIET AND NO BATTERIES OR A BUNCH OF KNOBS TO WORRY ABOUT. Love THE COLOR Of YOURS!!! It looks like you have a better pre than mine did. Mine didnt have the choice of active or passive. i just like passive.
