Modulus FB5 bass for sale. This bass has been heavily modified to be much more versatile and musical. It has a synthetic neck and fingerboard- hallmarks of Modulous basses. This means the neck never changes UNLESS you want it to- it does have a truss rod so you can set your ideal relief and forget it. The bass has an alder body that has lots of player marks, but the neck is excellent and the bass plays like a dream. It has Lakland 55-94 pickups, a Bartolini 2 band preamp, active/passive switch and a couple of other electronic features (individual pickup dampening as well as a series/parallel switch) that make it incredibly versatile. Custom pick guard, custom pickups and wiring...I am the tech for Quest Musique and did the mods myself- it is an amazing bass. But I am deep into my attraction for extra long scale lengths (eg Dingwall) and this bass now has to, finally, leave for good. Set up, playing incredibly, an amazing bass that I just don't use anymore. Please- no low balling or tire kicking- this bass is a great deal at this price. Affectionately known as Big Red, this bass nails a 70s Jazz bass sound, a PBass tone, a Tele bass sound, a MM SR5 bass vibe as well as having it's own wonderful character. Comes with Gotoh tuners or with Hipshot licensed Ultralight tuners (for a 100.00 extra charge). A truly unique and monstrous sounding bass.
