I bought this from Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville Arkansas four years ago, it came from the Fly By Night collection, from the grand old store in Missouri.
It has gigged with me 9 times, has mostly hung out in its Roadrunner hard case over the years, detuned when stored at length.
Bartolini pickups, 17.5mm string spacing set.
The low B is more firm than any bass I’ve owned, and only my long lost Tobias came close to making me smile on stage like this one has.
It’s a players axe, see the bits of buckle rash on the back (the scratches at the neck bolts were there when I got it... didn’t understand why... didn’t care.) the phenolic fretboard shows polish wear around the 5th fret, it’s imperceptible to the fingers and effects nothing. I understand there are a couple of cats listed on the web that will plane it down and re-polish it for you. I never bothered.
I LOVE the neck profile, and I’m mimicking it on a personal build I’m working on... slim with JUST enough meat.
The strings are about 18 months old, you’ll wanna slap your favorites on, unless you like the deader tone
like I do.
