Vintage Fretless Quantum w/o the truss rod (it doesn't need one) dark metal flake gray alder body, Seymour Duncan pups and 3 band 9 volt preamp: Vol, Blend, Mid,(ppVol lo mid boost) stacked Treble/Bass, lined phenolic board w/ face dots, 35" scale graphite neck with 24 "frets", custom Modulus tuners and bridge. Carvin HSC.
The bass plays wonderfully and the medium action is just right. the neck is solid and without issues. It is lightweight (appox. 7.5 lbs) and the fretboard has that definitive "mwah". strung with Dunlop brights. 17mm bridge spacing. The Duncan pups and preamp combination yields many useful tones. From bridge pup burp to dub low end with a thunderous B string. The bass is in very good condition but does have a surface crack between the Volume and Blend knobs that obviously does not affect the tone quality of the instrument. The pictures barely show the crack even up close. There is a minuscule chip on the r. rear headstock that is barely noticeable and doesn't show in the pictures The bass was taken to Guitar Center and given the once over. Other than the above described issues, it is perfect for those who enjoys a great fretless instrument. The price is firm and no trades.
