I keep looking at this and thinking how cool it would be to mod it have a Warwick $$ set up along with the existing preamp...

I am not the owner, but from what I remember from the old MPG facebook page, the bass has a vol, passive bass, mid and stacked treble, bass. One of the single controls has active/passive push/pull and one has series/parallel push/pull and one has mid turnover point push/pull.
