SOLD - FS: G&L L-2000 w/ #8 neck | TalkBass.com
I bought this from TB a few years ago, with the link of the original sale listed above. In summary, the bass weights 9lbs and is equipped with a #8 neck with nut width measured at 1 1/2". It has 6 neck bolts.
No, you didn't read this wrong. I am selling this bass for $400. Here are the reasons:
- I am reducing my collection of basses. I may also sell my G&L SB-2 (U.S) in the near future.
- This bass doesn't get played because my MIA Precision and Lakland DJ4 have been receiving all the playing time. Since I got this bass, I have rehearsed with it once and gigged with it twice. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice bass. It's just that my Precision and DJ4 feel very good to me.
- Although the neck of this bass is playable, with medium low action, I'm not sure if the truss rod works, as characterized by a perpetually slight neck bow no matter the extent I turn the truss rod clockwise.
- Since I have no interest in playing this bass, I'm not going to spend money on a luthier to diagnose the issue, which potentially would lead to more monetary outlay to fix the issue.
What you are getting:
- At best - despite the potential truss rod issue, you find the bass to be very playable, at a steeply discounted price.
- At worst - you get a fully loaded body of a G&L L2000, adorned with natural binding, for a decent price.
Updates/Edits:
1- I forgot to mention, this comes with a G&L hardshell case that is in good shape.
2- I have gotten some offers from interested members who live outside of NY. I am going to limit this sale to just the metro NY area for a couple of weeks. Afterwards I'll expand this to include CONUS. Thank you for your patience. Why I want this sale to be local?
