DSM Noisemaker OMNICABSIM

The OmniCabSim Deluxe from DSM Noisemaker is a cabinet simulator in a stompbox form factor. Entirely analog in signal path, it reproduces the frequency characteristics of various amplifier cabinets, achieving this effect through the use of various filters to approximate the high-cut/low-end roll off typical of many speakers. Also modeled is the resonance point of the low-end roll-off, as well as two different midrange responses. With this pedal, you can approximate the "scooped" sound of different kinds of cabs, leave the response flat, add a little punch at 800 Hz, and what is more, achieve a realistic amp/cab sound for your electric guitar or bass without schlepping the heavy gear about town. This makes the unit particularly suitable for touring and recording musicians.
A gain knob regulates the output signal from -6 to +12 dB, allowing you to use this pedal with line- or mic-level sources. The OmniCabSim Deluxe includes a 1/4" output, a 1/4" pass-through port, and a balanced XLR output. Should you wish to practice silently, a 350mW headphone amplifier has been built into the unit, the level of which you can attenuate with a knob. You can also route signal from an MP3 player or smartphone into the 3.5mm auxiliary input, which will process the sound through the headphone amplifier; in this manner, you can jam along to backing tracks or monitor signal while recording through the pedal. Please note: do not plug your amplifier's power amp output into the OmniCabSim Deluxe, or else you will destroy it.
