Much as I hate to, up for sale is my Parker Fly 5 bass. Here are the specs:
- Sandwiched Sitka Spruce with quilted maple veneer top and back
- Mahogany neck wrapped with carbon fiber
- Curly maple headstock
- Polyurethane finish
- Patented Parker glass and carbon fiber fretboard – 10"-15" conical section fretboard radius
- 34" scale length
- 1.8" Graphtech nut
- 24 medium size stainless steel frets
- Locking Sperzel tuning machines
- Mono-Rail II bridge with individual Fishman piezo pickups
- 2 custom DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups with active Fishman EQ
At the 12th fret the relief is .030", B-string height is .080. With that setup a light touch is good.
The bass weighs 7 lbs., 12 oz. The frets are in excellent condition.
There are two small nicks on the lower bout – smaller than 1/16-1/8". The headstock has five small nicks along the edges, mainly from me bumping it into the ceiling light in my studio.
No belt rash on the back. There is some very light (difficult to photograph) scratches under the G string near the neck pocket (grabbing to pop) and near the upper bout at the neck pocket (where a person's right thumb might rest).
The original soft, carry bag is included – there is a 1" tear in the upper section of the bag where the chain hanger is stored.
The original owner's sheet is included. The bass has Shaller strap buttons on it now (I put them all on my basses, regardless), but I'll include the original strap buttons.
I'm the original owner. The bass has been gigged twice. A wide range and variety of sounds are possible out of this bass! Very comfortable to play.
Thanks, but no trades. Shipping to continental US only and the shipping cost is not included in the price listed above. Shipping will be high given the insurance cost.
