This bass is unfortunately saying hello to the TB classifieds page very quickly. I picked up two basses around Christmas and will only be keeping one of them. I've pasted the link below to the original thread for this one for further information. The original ad notes a HSC, but I asked the seller to ship with a Roadrunner gig bag instead, which this will also come in.
This is a passive Musicman SUB from 2004. The original tuners were replaced with musicman ones as well. The neck and body come from two different serial number models (due to the original owner had a graphite neck on this for a while) but fit together perfectly. The finish is a Matte black and looks great for a nearly 20 year old instrument. There's a tort guard on there now but I'll also include a few others pickgaurds I got with it including a black one. It has D'Addario Nickel plated rounds that are either 100s or 105s on it and is set up with nice low action. The truss rods turns easily and freely in both directions.
I bought this as I don't like active basses and it really does nail the Stingray tone without the 9v. There are two tone controls (one for treble and one for bass) and with them turned all the way up it is classic Stingray tone and if you turn down the treble you can edge on P-Bass territory.
Nut width is 43mm (typical for a Ray); Radius is either 11" or 12" (I've seen conflicting info and am unable to measure myself) and weights 9.5 lbs.
I'm asking what I paid for this last month and will offer a $50 discount to $650 for local pickup.
On trades, I'm only looking for partials. Trade interests include Nate Mendel P bass neck, Steve harris neck, Player Plus P neck, Phasers (Walrus Lillian, Grand Orbiter), and a reach but I'm due up for a new-ish laptop, so I'm also looking for a M1 MacBook Air (16gb preferred) (not sure what used value there would be in that odd scenario, we could discuss).
