I'm "winding down" and off-loading gear which is not mission-critical and that includes my Millennium 5 which is in excellent condition save for one minor modification which I've described below. $550 firm & shipped to the lower 48. Nobody has cash anymore so I will consider trade offers provided they're comparable in value and not requiring a huge cash adjustment on either part. Here's the dope:

*35" maple neck, pau ferro fretboard, 21 frets.

*Black & chrome Hipshot tuners. Some minor wear / loss of finish on the black tuner keys...typical but not outrageous.

*Tobacco-burst finish, maple cap with nice figuring.

*Black & chrome Hipshot bridge.

*Stock pickups and Mill preamp. No issues with either.

*Weight: ~9.25 lbs, very well balanced with no neck dive whatsoever.

*Original hardshell case.

*Nut: modified faux "end of fingerboard" polished bone nut installed by our own walterw! The fingerboard suffered a small amt of wood loss adjacent to the north side of the nut. To maintain stability, the area was leveled and re-fit with a full size nut. See pics for full impact. In retrospect, the mod is actually an improvement over the original and provides a smoother break transition nut > retainer > tuners.

*Overall condition is very good / excellent with only minor blems which can not be photographed clearly. Example: one small depression on the upper side of the headstock amongst the tuner keys.

As expected, I've gotten a handful of trade offers. Nobody has cash this time of year...or any time, for that fact! Cash is always king but I'm a sucker for lightweight 5 strings and, given the Mill's value, I would expect to see something along the lines of mid-level Yamaha, Carvin, Ibanez, or any number of MIJ / MIK imports.

So no Spector ReBop5?

Yeah, think I'm gonna pass. Nice bass but not the most comfortable for me.

Oh, I almost forgot: News Flash! I'm no longer in the position of adding cash to any trade deals. We can all thank the big hunkin' State Select water heater I installed today. I may be broke but the water is warm.

Gigged it last night just to make sure everything is 100%. Roll the blend back to 80% bridge pup (MM) and you're good to go for the evening. The strings are sprung by virtue of age but I have a set of new 35"s which I'll include...I think they're Dunlops. Two other issues which I noticed and will address for the new owner:

*The dual battery compartment is a little on the tight side: I almost had to buy it dinner before I could slip 'em in. I'll do some minor finish reduction on the walls to ease access.

*The Hipshot tuners are also a bit too snug even for my taste. I'll re-tension and replace the cap screws if necessary.

I'm not savvy on the Peavey specs so please forgive my ignorance. Is the body Alder? US made? String spacing? Thanks.

Too easy:

*Alder body with maple cap.

*Pau Ferro FB, 15" radius, 35" scale, 21 frets.

*String spacing: ~17.5 mm, slightly variable via the Hipshot bridge.

*One piece maple neck, graphite reinforced.

*US made.

Still available and looking for a trade...nobody has any cash nowadays. I really need to keep the weight below 9 lbs.

Installed new 9 volts over the weekend. Woo-hoo....added value!

Actually, the four string US Millenniums have an 8 inch radius, but on the five strings the radius is 15 inches.

Yes, this is true...and if I had been wearing my bifocals, I would have stated this spec correctly! Dang that small font! Thank you and I've amended the earlier post.

Still available. Quality MIA active 5 banger (...case!) for 5+ bills? Don't forget the extra strings and new batteries. The whole package just screams "buy me!". Nothing comes close for the money....maximum yucks / bucks enjoyment.

Still available. I have it cased-up & ready to go (did that after I started the thread) but I "accidentally" carted it to last night's gig. The weather has cooled quite a bit and the action was a tad higher than I remember...no problem. I threw a hex key arm in the spoke adjuster, flexed the neck, and we were back in business in 2 minutes. The Millennium would be first choice for anyone requiring the thinner neck width & profile. Not quite a pencil-necked groover but it's close.

Hey, it's Christmas and nobody has any money so trades are really the way to go. I could scrape up a couple hundred bucks to even out a deal but that's about it.
