I've been really tempted to try one of these for my direct/ampless/IEM gig at church. Do you have any kind of case/bag for it?

I don't have a case for it because it lived in my house the whole time. I used it for recording electric bass primarily, and all my gigging is on upright bass. Though if I were to get a case for it, it would definitely be one of those Pelican clam shell jobs for about 70-100$, very worthwhile IMO.
For an ampless situation I can't think of anything better than this. I explained it to a friend like this: I learned bass by listening to albums on headphones and playing along with no amp, just resting my chin on the body of the bass as I plucked out notes. That sound of the bass resonating my whole skull is as close as I can describe the way this REDDI makes my bass sound.

That's the exact reason why I purchased my REDDI, and it helped in a HUGE way. Definitely helped to produce a DI tone to my ears that was much more inspiring. You won't regret it.
