The ONLY trades I'm interested in:
-MusicMan Sterling HH 4 - Neptune Blue PDN or Honey Roasted PDN limited runs (mahogany body), 9.0 lbs or less preferred.
-Mike Lull P4 with unlined fretless neck, 9.0 lbs or less
-G&L L-2000 with #6 neck (1.5" wide at nut), 3 bolt from 1997-1998 only
This is a great 4003S from September 1991 in vintage white, it has yellowed a bit in some places as usual but it’s not bad anywhere. Something exploded on the front of this bass, there are tiny clear spatters across the body face and headstock, I’ve tried water and alcohol but it stays. It’s not sticky and it’s not visible from a few feet away.
The neck pickup looks original but the bridge pickup is a later replacement with the adjustable polepieces. Somehow this bass came to me with a bridge pickup that's reverse magnetic orientation to every other Ric pickup I've had, so with both pickups on it sounded really thin and out of phase, that's why I replaced the bridge pickup. Fortunately the two pickups in the bass now are well matched in tone and output, this is a great sounding Rick!
The frets are in great condition, the body has some small chips and minor worming/scratches on the back, and a few chips on the end of the headstock. Comes in the used factory black tolex case, weighs 9.1 lbs, and the bridge pickup cover is included inside the case. The upper horn is very close to the 12th fret so it balances very well on a strap.
Price is $1449 shipped
