Ok, for those of you that are against Ric copies, please look away. THis is a replica/copy made for my own personal enjoyment and collection. However, owning this has proved that I love bass much more.
This is a great sounding guitar. It is short scale. It was advertised as semi hollow, but it's more chambered than anything. THe rout for the control panel and down the center for the pick ups is the only area hollow to my knowledge. It weights approx. 7lbs per bathroom scale.
This is true short scale, set neck, alder body lacquered fretboard. The body and pups are Chinese. The tuners are Ric Deluxe, bridge, Kaufmann vibrola, knobs and case are all genuine Rickenbacker. The pickguard was made from Pickguardian so it's better than the Ric ones. Most restorers prefer these. The TRC is custom made and does say what you think it says. This can be taken off for a blank one if you prefer. I do have a blank one to include if needed.
