"Yes, you can get a nice thick vintage tone with them. Nicely balanced pickup in my opinion. They do not suffer the dreaded mid-scoop many "hot" pickups exhibit. Dave Wintz (owner of Rio Grande) is a super nice dude! He custom made an old style Muy split P without the plastic covers, just the bobbin filled in with neoprene and taped, with the modern metal baseplate. I had the pickup one week after ordering it! Amazing service, top notch product. Fat, plenty of mids, GREAT with TI jazz flats! TONE, TONE, and more TONE. You won't regret getting Muy Grande split P."
