Really sweet Rob Allen Mouse that has that blooming, growly tone that is very reminiscent of an upright bass sound. It fits very well with acoustic instruments and is also good for ballads in an electric setting. I'm not a jazz player, but I imagine it would fit very well in that situation. I did do a Bluegrass gig with it and once the guys got over the shock of seeing it, they really liked how it sounded.

Claro Walnut top, Alder back, Birdseye maple neck, and Maccasar ebony fingerboard. Weighs a little under 6 pounds. Bass is in great shape. If you look closely at the right angle you can see a very faint 'line' in the top that I suspect is from the original owner resting his thumb. I was able to catch it with the light hitting it just right to make it really stand out (see photos) as it's usually not that noticeable. These basses have a wax based finish and I suspect it could probably be blended in if desired.

30 inch scale, string spacing at bridge reads 18mm, nut width is 1.625" (1 5/8"), weighs 5 3/4 lbs.

Comes with the two tone Rob Allen branded hard case in very good condition. Some marks here and there from it doing its job.

Please reach out with any questions.

Absolutely not fair of you to display this bass in such a beautiful setting. It makes me want it even more! But seriously, I have had a Rob Allen mouse since 2008. Absolutely fabulous bass. Rob made it for me and I used it to support a choir for about five years and it is still one of my favorite basses of all times.

Thank you. I'm originally from New England and have friends and family there and in the middle of the country that got hammered by that storm. We got lucky with this one, but check back with me during hurricane season. :-)

I used this bass with our local community chorus for the holiday program and it sounded great.

Is that a gator proof enclosure?
My brother had one installed to keep out the gators,

it didn't work.
It deters them somewhat. Because they have a tiny dinosaur brain they will walk right by an obstacle like a pool cage unless there's something inside that attracts their attention.

What is the scale? Is this completely acoustic?

30 inch scale. Not acoustic, not much louder unplugged than a standard solid body electric, though it sounds quite different. Chambered body, piezo pickup in bridge with the volume control mounted on the treble side of the bridge. The preamp and battery are located in the rear cavity.
