Roscoe Custom Century PJ 5

Excellent+ condition. No scratches or dents and no wear on frets. This was a 2016 NAMM Show bass. Extremely low buzz free action.

Specs:
Exhibition Quilt maple top
Yel-Red diagonal fade transparent finish
Mahogany Body
Aguilar PJ p/u's
Aguilar OBP-3 pre (vol, blend, Passive tone, Mid, stacked bass/treble, A/P sw.)
3 piece maple/purpleheart/maple neck
Pau Ferro fingerboard
35" scale
18mm string spacing
Roscoe OHSC (like new)

I'm only playing 4 strings these days and really prefer the more traditional sound of a Roscoe with soap bar pickups (when playing a 5).

Trades: Roscoe 5 (with soap bar p/u's); Skjold 5; Zon 5; or MTD 5
(must be excellent/like new condition)

Wow! Beautiful. Do you have any sound samples?

I recorded this clip this morning. It's an all bass tune and it utilizes the low B, some traditional finger style tones, some chordal parts and a slap part at the end. The bass has a fairly new set of Dunlop Brite Nickels installed.

What a nice voice from a beautiful bass!! Why would you want to get rid of it? :wideyed:

I've been playing my Roscoe Classic P with TI flats a lot lately as everyone LOVES the sound. I need something with a B string though for a few songs. I am thinking about getting a friends Fender Professional Precision V (already has flats) for those needs. It's a nice bass, but...A Roscoe 5 (and in my favorite body style) with a P pickup and passive option...people say flats sound nice on Roscoes as well.

Wish I had something you wanted. This may be a little too fancy for me anyway as I have old Standard Plus basses that didn't even have the shiny finish as an option back in the day.

Oh I hear you Ray. It is a wonderful bass!
The problem is that I'm primarily playing 4 strings these days and I'm only keeping one 5 string bass and I want it to be a traditional sounding Roscoe (Roscoe Bart pickups). The PJ model sounds really good and I loved the one two punch of it and my former Roscoe Custom Signature with Roscoe Bart P/U's. But since I'm only going to have one Roscoe I'm thinking it needs to be the more traditional (signature) sound of the Roscoe Bartolini SB pickups.:)

I've gotten some great trade offers but as of yet I can't pull the trigger on any of them. I'm going to be quite picky on the one that I go for so I'll probably wait (for a while) and see what's out there before I make my final decision.
Thanks for understanding.:)
