I am selling or trading my 1993 NYC Sadowsky Modern M5-24.
This bass is incredible. It has been played and has some dings and scratches as you can expect from a 93 bass. There is one chip in the finish on the bottom that you can clearly see in the photos included. Other than that is there is the odd ding and minor scratch most of which I have included in the photos. That said, the bass still looks incredible. It has natural nitro wear on the fretboard and on the back of the neck. You do not feel the wear at all.
It has a swampash body with quilted maple top finished in 59 burst. It currently has Nordstrand Big Splits in it. These were put in by the previous owner. The bass will also ship with the original EMGs it was built with. TIt weighs in around 8.5 lbs has 19mm spacing and is 34" scale. The neck profile on these older Sadowskys is incredible. Slim, stable and smooth.
Since I bought this bass I have added the VTC, had the frets leveled and crowned and had the control knobs replaced with new Sadowsky knobs. All this work was done by a factory authorized Sadowsky tech. The truss works perfectly The nut has some wear but is still perfectly functional however the bass will ship with a new truss nut courtesy of Sadowsky.
As for trades am now only considering trades for Dingwalls. Really would like an active ABZ5. Just bought a new AB1 so I am being pretty picky on trades. Would prefer cash.
Cash price would be$3200 $2900 $2800 shipped in North America with original Sadowsky soft case.
