Purchased this NYC from Roger Sadowsky in 2017. Chambered Alder with Lake Placid Blue finish with matching headstock. All original. I haven't even touched the original setup since initial purchase. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard (check out the grain in the photos) with blocks. 7 pounds 15 ounces!
Roger is only producing a limited number of basses in his New York shop at this point. Prices have, accordingly, gone way up. Priced far less than new, without the wait time.
I'm a hobbyist, so the bass has spent most of its life in the case in my smoke-free home music room. It has "the" Sadowsky sound, with a rich, sweet tone.
