I may really regret this.. this is a great bass that has served me very well, but finances force a sale.

This bass was made in 2003, nearest I can determine. It saw a lot of use from the original owner and therefore has a fair amount of of minor wear. The most noticeable scratches - though they don't go through the finish - are on the bass side lower bout and the back of the body. With the black finish, I had a hard time getting the ones on the front of the body to show up in the photos, and it is kind of hard to differentiate reflections from wear in some of the other pics.

The fingerboard has some obvious wear spots from the second fret up to about the ninth fret (some of which is seen in the fingerboard closeup photo). In the photo of the back of the headstock, a 1/2" crack is shown that was caused by the original owner overtightening the treble side string retainer screw. It was glued and stabilized by a qualified repairman, so it is a non issue except for appearance.

The frets were dressed not long ago at Mo's Repair Shop, so they are in very good shape. I installed Dunlop Straplocks, but I will include the original Schaller strap buttons also. The bass has Sadowsky single coil pickups that I installed, replacing the humbuckers that were in there previously (just a sonic preference on my part). I will throw in the humbuckers, though with those there is an issue with low output from the A string magnet on the bass pickup. The strings on the bass right now are GHS Rene Martinez .45 - .105's and a GHS Contact Core Super Steel .123 low B.

Here are some specs:
Weight: 9 lbs. 7 oz.
Black full-sized ash body with black pickguard (the Tokyos are the only Sadowsky models with full sized bodies, the others are downsized).
Bolt-on maple neck with 21-fret maple fingerboard, white binding and block inlays
Sadowsky Single Coil pickups with Sadowsky Tokyo Preamp (volume, blend, treble boost and cut, bass boost)
(note: the treble boost and cut feature is not found on any Sadowsky model apart from the Tokyo line, the others have boost only)
19mm string spacing at bridge.
12" radius, 1 7/8" nut width
Badass Bass V bridge
Hipshot Ultralite tuners

Some old threads with lots of info and discussion about the Sadowsky Tokyos can be found in the Basses forum.

The bass will ship in a decent quality Bass Place padded gig bag (sorry, I didn't get the original case). It will go FedEx Ground unless requested otherwise. I will consider international shipping with the additional cost at the buyer's expense. If you're anywhere close (I'm in Laguna Beach, CA) you're welcome to pick it up. I'm not looking for any trades right now, thanks.
