Purchased here from a fellow TB'er. I'm selling at the price I paid (which seemed a little high at the time, hence I’m keeping it honest yet taking offers), but I see they are going for >$4k for just the standard features on the current waitlist (forecasting 9-12 months in to a potential recession or mahogany tariffs, I presume), I think the roasted map fretboard option used to be ~$200-300. Strung w/ brand new Dunlop steels and just set up by the Mike Lull shop - don't ask me why, I wanted to set up my Serek Armitage 5 string and figured I should get them both set up. Then I decided to downsize a day or 2 later
. I play my Armitage exclusively and can't really justify holding on to this as a standby.
32" neck and body are mahogany with a roasted maple fretboard, abalone inlays, Nordstrand Big Blade pickups, the typical 3-way pickup selector, tone, volume and Hipshot w/ 18mm spacing Hipshot hardware. I'll include the Levy white leather strap because I don't feel like messing with removing the strap locks.
As you can see from the pictures, there is pretty minimal checking for the thin Serek nitro finish. There is a rice grain sized check on the lower bout. It came to me with a pretty small but noticeable dent on the neck that cleared up with an iron and wet washcloth - it's still slightly visible in the pictures. There is an area with a visible paint chip that was thinly painted over. It's unclear if that was a build error or a fix by the previous owner, but you can't feel it.
I'm primarily interested in selling since I don't REALLY need another bass, but it would be nice to have a 4 string if I'm ever in a band that does not require a 5 string. I love my Armitage and kind of miss my older bass w/ the B90. Something else in the P Bass territory like a Mike Lull or Olinto would also be interesting.
