This is the best preamp I’ve ever used. Incredible tube warmth and extremely responsive and touch sensitive “edge-of-breakup” overdrive. Not cheap, but worth every penny and then some! I’m really glad I took the leap and got one. Someone will be very happy with this.

Yes! This preamp is top notch! The only reason I am selling it is because I am moving back to just an amp and cab. I thought about keeping this and just running it into a power amp, but that isn’t fitting with the minimalist goal I have. Someone else will be able to really benefit from this transition I am making.

What classic amp does this compare to, if any? Tired of SVT emulations...

The tone stack is modeled after the Fender tone stack I believe. There is a lot of info on the preamp at their website, with some good information about the EQ on there too. The IR's and HEX files can give you many different voices though, that goes far and above just the EQ. Many cabinet sims as well as power amp sims.

Thanks. I'll have to nab one. Easier than toting a Bassman.

Very much so! I see you have a Gentler in your Avatar. I have been running mine into the Power Amp in on my Genz-Benz Streamliner and it is a VERY great sounding combo! You don't get the cab sim on the 1/4" output, but running the preamp through the Genz power amp and my 2x12 cab sound AWESOME!

Nice! My MG350 doesn't have an FX, so I'll probably get something with one when gigs start up again. Though if the Oly is that good, I may finally switch over to a power amp.

Fortunately you can use the Aux In as an input for the power amp with the SLO!
