I'm reviving this one... The neck is from a Silvertone bass (Made in Indonesia):
  • 34" scale
  • 40 mm nut width
  • 62 mm heel width
  • Truss rod works fine
  • Frets have plenty of life left in them, and worked well for me with medium action
  • Some dings and discoloration (see pictures)
  • Has two sets of holes in the heel (I've used it on my "mule" test bass and drilled new holes for it; see last picture)
  • The nut is chipped at the E string, but it plays fine as is
In short, a very decent neck that can be played as is, or be a nice project or learning platform.

Please ignore the other parts in the first picture (I do still have the bridge and the knobs, I'd be happy to toss those in for $10).

Back for sale... it's been living on my "mule" test bass for a year, so there's a new set of holes in the heel.

I guess if someone is interested, I'd be happy to sell all the parts for the mule. The "body" is based on a 2x4 red cedar plank, and includes the bridge shown above. The neck plate I used is from my other ad. It worked surprisingly well, and allowed me to test different pickups in different positions from bridge to neck. Let me know if you're interested and we'll figure it out :)
