Thinning the herd just a bit. I listed this bass some time back and pulled it down because I was on the fence. However, my main band tunes down to C, so my 35" scale Spectors get all my use. Plus, I'm investing in a new computer and some video equipment for the band, so some things need to go. Here's all the details:
Spector NS-2J
Made in USA (Woodstock) in 2000 for artist Dave Fowler. I'm the third owner after Todd Cooke.
Solid quilted maple body.
Ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl inlays
Chrome hardware (originally had gold, but I switched it to chrome a few years ago).
EMG J pickups with US Hazlab 9V preamp - The haz recently had some noise, and I sent it back to hazlab for repair.
Hipshot tuner installed (extra standard tuner included).
Brand new Spector gig bag.
Weighs in at 8.6# on the bathroom scale.
It also has what feels to me like the thinner neck profile. My other US Spectors have had a thicker profile. This one is super comfortable. Has the standard 1 5/8" neck width.
*When changing the hardware some years back, it was discovered the screw for the tuner on the E string had broken. It was professionally repaired. The detuner hides any cosmetics from it, and the standard tuner pretty can covers it as well. You can see the picture of the headstock without the tuners to see the small cosmetic damage there is.
