Plays great and barely used. Has a second string tree installed. Logo sanded off and replaced with a "Mongrel Customs" logo but the serial # and origin story remain on the back. Comes with stock tuners. These are great early 50's style necks!

Correct, the early 50's style necks have a square heel. The Telecaster basses were (originally) reissues of the 50's Precisions and featured the same shape neck heel. It will not fit correctly into a modern-style rounded neck pocket without modification.

Not that I'm suggesting anyone try, but I did more or less successfully install a Cabronita neck on a jazz body. I made new holes and there was a crescent shaped gap between the bottom of the neck and the body, but it worked. Fender and Squier tele necks are great.

I have this same neck (from 2011) with the stock tuners on my Partscision bass. It is a great neck, no issues. It's also a bonus to have the truss rod accessible from the headstock.
