Details

Just like the other 5 jazz basses I've owned, I can't get past the sound and thin neck size. Included is a matte black, mint and mirror pink pickguards, a set of smooth, worn in flatwound Chromes and neck ashtray cover. Has one dent in the paint near the top horn and minor scratches to the back from buckle rash.

Update: changed out brass saddles on the bridge for nickel, added cts full size pots, currently strung with Elixer strings.

$300 shipped ConUs w/ 3 pickguards, neck pu cover and gig bag included. Will consider P bass trades.

Wow, where did you get the pink pickguard from? Did the screw holes line up?
I just bought the same bass a month ago, but it looks like a good deal.

Thanks!

I found the pink guard on eBay a few months back. Think I got it for $24.99. I was cautious that the holes may not line up...but to my surprise, fit perfect! There is about 1/32" gap between the control plate and pickguard but never noticeable from the stage.

I had that issue on my James Johnston but found when I loosened the control plate screws, the pg popped down into place and I was able to tighten the screws again and all was well! FYI

I'm sub'd here because I am endlessly tempted by this beautiful bass of yours - just unsure I can justify another 4-string fretted jazz in the stable...

EDIT: New understanding of your post - perhaps you meant a gap between the PG and CP not between the PG and body because the CP is slightly underneath as was the case with mine... if that's so, disregard. Although even in that case if you loosen all PG and CP screws you might be able to slide them a little closer together..?
