This is a bass that I recently put together for my son. He prefers his 5 string P-Bass. This is a Squier Affinity body with upgraded pickups and a brand new pickguard. The neck is a G&L spare parts neck that was modified to fit a Fender style heel, and the frets were dressed, and the edges rolled. A nice nut was also installed when the neck was worked on.
The neck is about 1/8" shy of being a perfect fit, there's a little wiggle room on each side, but it plays perfectly. The neck is a wide chunky profile. Even though the neck is set for an 18mm bass, it works well with a 19mm bridge (what's on there now).
