Details

The project I have in mind really calls for a J neck. Ideally, I'd like to trade my status P for a status J in similar condition.

It’s overall excellent condition, the more I look at it the more I see it has some minor signs of use. The frets are a little tarnished and have some marks, but nothing that will necessitate refret for many, many years of playing. The neck is entirely chip free and the board is completely smooth and free of marks

EDIT: sold pending payment and pickup

What exactly was drilled. Different screw locations or Bigger holes for Machine head posts?

Hey, thanks for the interest. Not sure what you mean by the question…When I bought it the seller said that it was only drilled for the tuners you see. Lemme get a screw driver and take one off to make sure there’s only 1 set of holes…

Just trying to figure out what you meant by this:

"Really the only thing keeping this neck from “new” status is that it’s been drilled for standard style tuners."

It could mean either The Large hole for the Tuner Post or thew small holes that secure the tuners.

Well, as I understand it Status necks come with no holes. The previous owner installed fender style tuners (I meant 4 screws…not ultralites or anything like that). Other than having the drill holes for the tuners and the fender neck pocket screw holes, it’s in fantastic condition.

I just mention the holes because if anyone wanted to put ultralites then you’d have some ugly exposed marks is all…or if you wanted to put this on, say, a G&L body then the neck pocket holes will not match up.

All good. Thank you for the question and the opportunity to clear that up :)

still taking offers?
I’m happy to hear it I guess just in case the current buyer has a change of heart, but I agreed to a deal with him and will honor it. PM me anyway I guess in case he backs out, but I don’t think that’s going to happen :(
