For sale is an original Steinberger L2 bass. You know the details. Solid molded one-piece composite body and neck, headless design and hardware, and swivel strap holder. Pretty unique.
This particular example still has the Steinberger logo intact, but does have typical chipped epoxy on the bottom corner. The neck also had a chip in the epoxy at one point, but that has a nicely done repair by the previous owner. It does have some scratches in the finish, marks on the pickups, and wear on the coated brass hardware, but nothing out of line for a 30+ year old instrument.
The neck is straight, with only minor fret wear.
Has a new set of double-ball strings installed, but also comes with THREE unopened sets of Steinberger strings along with the sale. Should set you up for a while.
Comes with the orginal Steinberger gig bag in rough shape, a soft gun bag that fits nicely for daily use, and a brand-new HeadlessUSA gig bag. Three bags!
