Bass also has a special acrylic guard by the bridge pickup that Roger added at my request. My thumb tends to ride the pick up and lowest string wearing out the finish in this area.

Here is a picture of my 1965 Jazz bass, which is why I had the extra guard added.

It is chambered body, isn't it? Would be interesting if she had piezo PU, how would it sounds?

Yes, it has a chambered body. It weighs 9 pounds even; without the chambered body a 5 string with a slab of ebony would be heavier.

Roger doesn't offer a piezo pickup as a standard option, so it would have to be a special order. The piezo would add an organic sound with some finger noise (the good kind), but you would have to add a custom piezo bridge or saddles, a piezo preamp, and some additional controls. Probably a significant upgrade, assuming you could even fit the preamp in the control cavity.

I have an F Bass AC4 fretless that has a piezo, but the instrument was designed from the beginning to have a piezo bridge. It sounds amazing!
