I'm selling a brand new, never installed "The Bass-Mute" by Ellio Martina Guitars for a 4 string bass.
A few years ago, I ordered (2) of these mute systems from Ellio, which I must say wasn't an easy task to get ahold of, as he was having some serious health issues at that time. Anyway, long story short, I was finally able to place my order and then waited for them to arrive from the Netherlands. I installed (1) of the mute systems on a G&L LB-100 (see below pic) and was going to eventually install the other on a G&L JB that was being built. I ended up selling the LB-100 and actually didn't keep the JB long afterwards, so it's been stored in my gear locker, but, it's time to let it go.

The Bass-Mute:
In the summer of 1993 in the Netherland, luthier Ellio Martina designed a new muting device for bass guitars in cooperation with Edwin van Huik from the Bass Connection. The original idea was to design a muting device with excellent muting capabilities, to be engaged quickly and easy to install on almost all known models of basses being around. Ellio with his background as mechanical engineer developed the design, while Edwin, being a skillfull bass player, did the testing for improvements. The Bassmute presented here, is the final result of our efforts. Within the physical limitations of a minimum height between the basses' body and the strings plus enough room between the rear pickup and the bridge to install, we believe we succeeded.
