Okay, so I posted these on Craigslist, and apparently I was asking too much for them. The fact is, I'm a 5+ string player, and I've got a few basses that are just consuming closet space. All prices are packed + shipped in the continental US, will consider shipping international.

Carlo Robelli 8 string (dual course) sparkly bass. Nothing wrong with it, other than needing new strings, I picked it up on a whim. Active MM style pickup, sounds good, great for someone to try out 8 strings without risking a load o' cash. Asking price is $225 shipped.

Carlo Robelli (Sam Ash house brand) fretless 4 string. Nice bass, minor flaw in the construction on the front, as seen in the pic. Neck-through lined rosewood fingerboard, equipped with D'Addario flats. Retailed new for $249, I think, and this one has an 18v active upgrade installed by Alpha Music ($75) last year sometime. Also comes with $40 strap and $15 Schaller straploks. This was played quite a bit at the last TalkBass get together and sounded awesome in the hands of the right player - which isn't me. Not a fretless guy after all. Asking $225 shipped.

*SOLD* De Rosa (eBay special) acoustic-electric 5 string. Nice finish, fairly solid costruction, but the B string is almost silent when plugged in. Had to Dremel the bridge so that I could fit a B in without messing it up, and the action's on the high side, but it plays fairly nicely for all that, and it's got brand new strings. If you wanted to play strictly acoustically, it mics well, and a couple of bucks on a decent pickup/preamp would probably make this thing into a nice performer. Very small for an acoustic, I bought it also on a whim, just want to get it gone - asking $125 shipped. *SOLD*

Sorry about the bad pic on this one. If anyone's interested, I'll get better ones.

It's a The Bass Company (TBC) AP400-M. Complete with Aguilar OBP-2 preamp installed - a $120 addition. Sounds great, currently equipped with light-gauge strings. IMO, these basses could sell for twice what they go for, if this example is the norm.

The Bass Company website can give you all the specs. Great instrument, I just don't play it. Asking $325 shipped.

I want to clear out some space, so feel free to PM with reasonable offers, I won't bite. Also, not interested in trades unless it's a five string. I'd also be willing to negotiate a lower price if you want more than one of these basses.

Comments

Bump for being open to trades for:

Black Precision basses (SX, Squire, MIM, whatever)
Bound + blocked maple Jazz necks, preferably black blocked.
Quality Precision pups (Basslines, Nordstrand, etc)

I've got better pics of the TBC, and more info - it's made in China, but the quality is excellent, and I've had no issues at all with it.
