These are a set of Thomastik-Infeld (JF344) 4-String Long Scale Flat Wound bass strings that I purchased new.
Had this set on for just a few minutes and can easily tell they’re great flat wound strings. I’m just not a flats kinda guy I guess. (Not while only owning one bass
)
2 Things to mention:
1) I always wash my hands before picking up my bass, and
2) I crimp strings before cutting them to the proper length. In this case for my
***34” scale (Precision, of course) bass.
"Crimping bass strings before cutting them can prevent the core of the string from slipping, which could result in a dead sounding string". Fodera and other reputable Luthiers and string manufacturers recommend this.
