Well, the experiment is over. I had the Carvin PB-5, and loved the sound, and feel, but wanted to try the Vader basses. I found a couple used, one a 4-string passive, and the other a 5-string active. I wanted to test the passive model, and also the active, plus wanted to check out the B string. I didn't want to go to their store to try it, I wanted to give it some time. I'm sold, and want to do a custom build now of either a 5 or 6-string. Time for these to find some homes.Carvin PB-5 $900
Beautiful Carvin bass with Diamond Pearl White Finish that really sparkles, but is still subtle. This one has the additional J pickup at the bridge, along with active electronics. It has a passive switch too, and it really gives a nice range of tones. It has one tiny scratch on the back of the neck that I tried to show, but it is very minor, and you don't even notice it. Other than that it is in great shape, and is near mint. Stainless steel fret option, and upgraded knobs. Comes with hard shell case. Weighs 10.4 pounds, and comes with an additional pick guard in white pearl.

It is in great condition. Needs a cleaning/polish, I just got it in December. It is Racing Orange in color, but pics look more like red. I got it to test out the B-string, which was great. Currently strung e-c.
