I have a used set of TI Flats that have had on a few basses. I would say no more than mid life at best for TIs. I never used them on a bass exclusively so they were not played all the time, therefore they are no where near worn out. (I have sets that are approaching 20 yrs and still sound great.) The silk is worn away in some places, but the strings are fine. Possibly a great opportunity for someone looking to try TIs without dropping some serious money (over $70 now). These are strings any flat lover should at least try. Nothing sounds like TIs. Cut for Fender.
