Mark. It was a pleasure working with you on my purchase of the fabulous color Candy Apple Red MIJ P bass. Thanks for your patience and also for delivering the P; it was nice to meet you in person.
As you noted the MIJ P is quite a bit lighter than my FrankenJazz project (MIM J body; MIA P neck; Super 55 pickups). On my bathroom scale, the MIJ beauty weighs in at least a pound lighter.
After lowering the string height quite a bit, and a little tweaking to the pickup height today, and leaving the half-round strings on it, I plan to gig it for a set tonight. Then put Chromes on it as we discussed.
