Brian is simply a high caliber individual and a pleasure to deal with. This is my second experience with him doing a bass transaction. The first one was when he bought my Bareface’d 69’er. This proposed transaction was a bass trade. Both were in person meetings which I always prefer
We met up yesterday and played the respective trades. I was initially hesitant to trade because his bass had high action, excessive relief, and so so intonation, IMHO. Brian said “If the bass doesn’t set up yo your satisfaction we can swap back, no problem.”
This unsolicited generosity gave me full confidence, and I did the trade.
After I finished my own (limited) setup, the bass played and sounded great! No need for a luthier visit.
