I am selling my loaded Wal clone body.
This is a Warmoth Chambered Mahogany P-bass body with Walnut top (Original price was $340 + tax and shipping)
Rautia Wal Clone, multi-coil pickups (click here to read more). These are reverse-engineered clones of actual Wal pickups - there are 8 coils per pickup. In one pickup, each string has it's own humbucker (yes, there are literally 4 humbuckers in each pickup). Each string's humbucker has it's own output (just like a real Wal, there are 4 "hot" outputs and one common ground). These pickups are MONSTERS. (I paid $535 for the pair of pickups, plus a 4 month wait last year - I believe he is back-ordered and his lead time has significantly increased).
IMPORTANT NOTE - when trying to recreate the sound of a specific instrument, in this case a Wal, it's not just about getting pickups and preamps that built to spec - you also need to get the pickup placement correct - the pickups locations on this bass are exactly the same location as on a Wal Mk.1 or Mk.2. So, if you were to hypothetically get one of these pickups and install it in your bass (say a Stingray, for instance), it is still not the same and will not get the same tone/sound. You need to install the pickups in the exact locations.
Lusithand Double NFP Special Preamp (for his Facebook page, click here) - this is a clone of the actual Wal preamp. The preamp takes the 4 "hot" leads from each pickup and actively blends them together for each pickup's "summed" output (just like the real Wal preamp). Volume / active pickup blend / Lowpass filter for neck pickup / lowpass filter for Bridge pickup. Each filter knob can be pulled out to increase the resonant peak at the cutoff frequency - just like a real Wal. Odds are, if you know what a Wal is and are reading this, you know about the famous Wal preamp. (I paid $422 for the preamp)
The chrome knobs are included. The Fender Bridge in the picture is NOT included.
I paid over $1,300 for the main part of this (body, pickups, preamp). That does not include the chrome knobs, the electrosocket "cup" for the jack, routing for the custom Wal pickups, thin clear poly finish and copper foil for all the cavities (plus grounding all the cavities and wiring the bass up). I don't need to sell it, so don't waste your time with a lowball offer. Not interested in any trades.
