I built it from all new parts about 10 years ago. Have used it carefully for my church gigs off and on since then. There is no noticeable fret wear, no marks on the body, some scratching on the pickguard.
I paid attention to weight and balance with this build to ensure the bass was as light and balanced with zero neck dive or neck heaviness on the strap.
The nut slots have been widened to allow BEAD and it works great in that configuration. The down-pressure of the tilt back headstock allow the bass to still work for EADG so I was able to switch back and forth with no issues.
I originally had an alnico pickup in the bass but found it a bit dark. Swapped it out for ceramic which made only a small difference but it did brighten it up just a bit. You can make the bass dark by simply turning down the treble a bit.
