For sale a stunning Warwick Thumb 6 string lined fretless. This is a 10 year old instrument that plays and looks as new, which I sent to a professional luthier to transform into a lined fretless Thumb, which are very rare to find. The sound brings the expected Thumb's compact growl combined with the tender warmth of the fretless sound, just amazing as you would expect. The lines (where the frets were before) were made black which creates a very classy contrast against the neck's wood grain; it does a perfect job helping the player find the right spots while keeping the instrument looking beautiful.

There are the specs:
- Serial number F-154338-10
- Natural Oil finish
- Ovangkol body
- Ovangkol neck
- Black hardware
- Made in Germany
- MEC PU/Preamp
- 34" scale
- String spacing at the bridge: 16.5mm
- Ebony ramp between PUs
- Weight: 10 lbs
- Schaller strap buttons.
- Comes with an instrument case

The price includes insured shipping to the lower continental US. I have no issues shipping across the world, so if you are interested please PM so I can calculate shipping to your location. What a beauty! I'd love to have her. I don't have a huge amount of experience with fretless basses yet though and I wonder if the non-ebony fingerboard will last. Should this even be a concern?

Hi there, thank you very much for your comments. I took a pretty close photo of the fingerboard and (after several years playing) the traces left by the strings in the fingerboard are minute, If not invisible. Here is a close up; I would think it has many years of playing until this is even noticeable. Note: (I used nylon Labella flats for about 2 of this bass' existence which could have reduced the impact)

Also, here a video of its sounds. It has no preamp, effects or modifications, it goes straight to the card's input, hence the low volume without modifications.
1st setting: Neck PU 0%, Bridge PU 100%, Treble: 0%, Bass 100%
2nd setting: Neck PU 100%, Bridge PU 0%, Treble: 40%, Bass 70%
3nd setting: Neck PU 50%, Bridge PU 50%, Treble: 40%, Bass 70%
4nd setting: Neck PU 5%, Bridge PU 95%, Treble: 5%, Bass 100% (The way I like it)
