I am selling a YAMAHA RBX-A2 5string bass. It is in near mint condition with only the very slightest signs that it has been played at all. It was designed as a lightweight bass with a different construction concept. I have attached a website page that describes it.

It weighs just a slight bit over 7 pounds on my bathroom scale and to find ANY 5 string bass near the 7 pound mark is amazing. The bass plays great and I have put flat wound strings (Bright Flats, I think). Low action and no fret buzz or ANY issues at all. The 2 pickup volume pots light up in red and blue to let you know visually the amount of output from each pickup. The tone control was not designed with any lights. It has an aggressive sound. (Think in the "Musicman" ballpark). Very surprising for a passive bass. I put flat wound strings to tame down the "zing" in the tone and while it does a great job of mellowing the bass, I really am trying to make it sound like a Fender Jazz Bass. SO.....this is for sale OR if you have a Fender 5 string bass you have to trade, we can figure out whether there is any cash difference needed.
The bass did not come with case or bag, but I will include a cheap gig bag in order to help in the cushion for packing.
