Zon Fretless Sonos 5. Likely you know what it is. These phenolic board fretless are getting rarer as Modulus and Zon’s waitlists are forever, and Status on hiatus, and Moses suck in my opinion.
Zon electronics - Twin Humbuckers, Volume, Balance, 3 band eq - Stacked Bass/Treble. Balance knob has minor scratch noise when adjusting, and likely De-Oxit will clear it up. Lots of tones from upright-like to Jaco to Tony Franklin and more. Sustains, growls, and mwahs like crazy. Had worn Tapes, but put on TI's. TI's didn't sound good at first, but now are breaking in and sound really good for that over the top fretless tone. Low notes growl and swell when held like a good upright.
Not sure of the body wood, but I would guess alder as it is pretty light. Some minor dings and scratches that aren’t noticeable form any distance. A couple of small white dotting spots which I think show the base coat under the dark grey metallic finish.
Fret lines on the board and dots on the side of the neck. Board doesn’t get damaged due the phenolic, and is excellent shape.
Original Zon Gig bag that has some very slight musty odor.
I bass that is super fun to play and sounds great.
